Health Care Reform is Coming!

President Obama and Working America members agree: fixing health care is a top priority. President Obama is leading the way to reform our broken health care system, and Working America is keeping the pressure on Congress so that the insurance and pharmaceutical companies can't block change.

We need real reform, including a public health insurance plan option! This option will bring down costs, force the insurance companies to compete and guarantee that secure, high-quality coverage will be there for working families no matter what happens. Help ensure that health care works for everyone by reading more and signing the petition to support the public health insurance plan option and oppose taxing health care benefits.

Working America Joins with                   Working Arkansans

Employee Free Choice ActMore than half of all nonunion workers in the United Statesnearly 60 million peoplesay they would join a union right now if they could. But not enough workers get this chance, because the deck is stacked against people who want to join unions. We don't think that's right. That's why Working America went to Arkansas and collected 10,000 handwritten letters asking Sen. Blanche Lincoln to vote for the Employee Free Choice Act. We delivered them to her office so she'll know to "look out for the little man," as one letter-writer urged, by voting yes on this important bill.

Don't Lie Don't Steal

Don't Lie Don't Steal

Working America members are telling Congress that we need laws to regulate the financial industry, prevent execs from lying and stealing, and force Wall Street to start playing by the rules. Working families shouldn't have to pick up the tab for the risks taken by Wall Street. Want to join in?

YOU Decide Our Priorities

Every six months, Working America members choose the priorities to guide our work. Vote now to select our issues for the second half of 2009. There's a long list of problems that demand a solutionbroken health care, home foreclosures, corporate corruption and not enough good jobs to support our families. Your vote tells us where to focus our energies.
